The Rules

  1. Card Selection - Using the most recent Statmando Official World Rankings, users pick one player from each of the following categories:

    1. Ranked 1-10

    2. Ranked 11-20

    3. Ranked 21-35

    4. Ranked 36-50

    5. Ranked 51+

    6. Fill in tiebreaker items as mentioned below in section 4

  2. Total Score - Your players will earn you a total score as follows:

    1. Each of your players will finish the event with a total score. For instance +3 or -2.

    2. Those scores are then added together to create a total score.

      1. Ex: If you chose Gannon Buhr (1-10 Pick), Chris Dickerson (11-20 Pick), Corey Ellis (21-35), Mason Ford (36-50), and Evan Scott (51+), and their scores at the end of the tournament were (respectively) -5, -4, -3, +2, +1. Your total score would be (-9).

    3. Player scores will follow the official scoring from the PDGA

  3. Rankings -  Rankings are determined based on the total score of your combined card. The user with the lowest total score will come in 1st place, the user with the second lowest total score will come in 2nd, etc.

  4. Tied Rankings - If two or more users tie for the same position (e.g., three users tie for 2nd place), the following tiebreakers will be applied in sequence to determine the final rankings.

  5. Tiebreakers -

    1. Tie Breaker 1: If users have the same score but different lineups, the user who has the pro player on their card with the best finishing position at the event will decide the winner. That process will be repeated through the card until there is a user with a higher-ranked card choice.

      1. Example 1: Player 1 and Player 2 are tied. Player 1 has Ricky Wysocki and Player 2 has Gannon Buhr for their 1-10 tier. Ricky Wysocki won the event and Gannon Buhr came in second. Player 1 wins.

      2. Example 2:Player 1 and Player 2 are tied.  Player 1 and Player 2 have the same card choices for every tier except the 51+ tier. Player 1 has Chandler Kramer and Player 2 has Thomas Gilbert in that spot. Chandler Kramer finished higher ranked in the event so Player 1 wins.

      3. Example 3: Player 1 and Player 2 are tied. Player 1 chose James Proctor for their 11-20 pick and James Proctor won the event. Player 2 chose Chris Dickerson and Chris Dickerson came in 2nd. Player 1 wins.

    2. If users have the same card choices or different card choices but none of the 5 positions result in a tiebreaker as mentioned above, we move on to the additional tiebreakers below.

      1. Tiebreaker 2 - prediction for the overall winning score for the event in total number of strokes

        1. The user with the prediction closest to the overall winning score for the event wins.

      2. Tiebreaker 3 - prediction for the best single-round score over the tournament in total number of strokes.

        1. The user with the prediction closest to the best single-round score of the tournament in the total number of strokes for that round wins.

      3. Tiebreaker 4 - In case of the unlikely event that, after these tiebreakers, there are still ties, the winner will be chosen on the show using the Wheel of Names

  6. Prizes - Players who earn a standing after the event inside the guaranteed prize spots will earn prizes as listed in the prize section above.  Hold My Bag will reach out to each user after the event to coordinate which disc golf retailer the user would like to receive their electronic gift card from.

  7. Disc Golf Store Eligibility - In order for a winning user to receive their electronic gift card from the retailer of their choice, the disc golf retailer must fulfill all of the following requirements:

    1. The store provides a way to purchase a gift card in the exact amount as the prize won for the winner through online purchases with a credit card.

    2. The majority (50%+) of the store's inventory being sold is directly related to the sport of Disc Golf.

    3. The store provides a way to electronically send the gift card purchased to the winner's email address.

  8. User Eligibility - You must be 18+ years or older and not a resident of a state or country where fantasy sports are illegal or require a license.

    1. See here for more terms and conditions

  9. DNF Players - If a player on your card DNFs during the tournament, you will receive whatever score they last had before DNF’ing. Players will not be penalized the +4 strokes per hole unplayed as PDGA does.

  10. Dropped Players - If a player on your card drops out before the event, it is on you the player to make the switch. Email info@holdmybagdg.com to replace the player. If you do not replace your dropped player before the event starts, you will automatically receive the highest-ranked player available in that tier as your replacement.
